How will I be notified of emergency school closings?
We will always do our best to report emergency school closings by the 11:00PM news the night before. There is a single number the district can call to have the emergency broadcast on all major TV and radio stations. In the event an emergency happens in the early morning hours it will be broadcast on TV and radio but we will also do our best to notify you by phone.
How will the district make up days for emergency closings?
Emergency closings of schools are not generally made up unless the district falls below the mandatory 175 school days in a school year. Since Euclid has a 184 day school year we would have to have more than nine emergency days in the school year before we had to make up days. If this were to happen, we would work with our local unions to schedule make-up days and give parents ample time to plan for any changes in the calendar year.
How can I obtain a copy of the school policies and procedures?
