Facility Use & Rental
The Euclid City Schools makes many of the facilities available to to Euclid community and Euclid organizations
A fee schedule has been established for facility rental and the schedule is designed to recoup operational costs. Contact Barb Parsons at (216) 797-2914 for application forms and rental rates. Rates will be adjusted on an annual basis. Groups outside the school district will be required to have liability insurance in an amount of $1,000,000.00 per occurrence and furnish a certificate of coverage naming the Euclid City School District as an "additional insured".
Priority Usage
The educational program activities of the school district are given first consideration for the use of facilities.
PTA groups, District Adult Literacy Programs, school sponsored groups and recreational programs receive the next priority. School facilities are not for rent for commercial use for for businesses conducting programs for profit.
Swimming Pools
The High School swimming pools are not for rent.
Concessions
Refreshment centers are not for rent within the school facilities
Cafeteria Facilities
Rental of cafeteria facilities must be identified in advance and arrangements must be made to the office of the Food Services Supervisor at (216) 797- 2947.
Other Rules, Regulations and Procedures
1. Facility permit request forms may be obtained from the Business Office in the Fordyce Administration Building. This form must be completed and returned to the Business Office two weeks prior to the requested rental date.
2. Permits are not issued for the use of school facilities before 6:00 p.m.
3. When the facilities permit request form has been signed by the school principal, approved by the Business Manager and all rental fees paid in advance, the permit will be issued.
4. Permits must be signed 48 hours in advance of the rental date.
5. The person signing the permit must be a Euclid resident, 21 years of age or older and represent a Euclid group or organization.
6. The Business Manager has the right to revoke permits at any time for just cause.
7. Groups requiring set-up and take down (tables, chairs, etc.) must provide their own work party. Groups requesting the Board of Education provide these services will be charged an hourly rate for custodial services and billed with the rental charge.
8. The Business Manager may require the renting organization to provide parking attendants, school security, police and/or fire supervision when warranted.
9. A certificate of insurance must be provided to the Business Office prior to final approval of rental permit.
10. All permits are issued for specific rooms or areas and it is the responsibility of the renting organization to see that the remainder of the building is not entered or disturbed.
11. No commercial use of Euclid school buildings shall be permitted.
12. Smoking is prohibited by law in school buildings. Permits will be revoked for violating this regulation.
13. No alcoholic beverages or illegal substances are permitted in school buildings or on school grounds.
14. Gambling is prohibited in school buildings or on the premises.
15. Rental groups must receive special permission from the Business Manager to operate concessions of any type.
16. There shall be no signs, banners, pennants, etc. placed in or on school buildings or on school grounds except with the approval of the Business Manager.
17. Open flame decorations are prohibited. All decorations must be fireproof. Decorations shall not be fastened to any surface with nails, screws, scotch tape or other fasteners that will damage or mar the finish of the surface.
18. Cafeteria equipment shall be used only with the specific approval of the Business Manager and through arrangements with the Director of Food Service for professional supervision.
19. Auditorium stage and lighting equipment (control console, etc.) shall be used only with the approval of the Business Manager. A trained school district technician must be assigned to operate the equipment.
20. No food or drinks are permitted in amy auditorium or gym.
21. Rentals are not accepted for private parties, weddings, showers, birthdays, graduations, etc.
22. All groups must be out of the buildings by 10:00 p.m. This allows custodial personnel the proper amount of time to clean and close the facility.
23. Cancellations must be made by the rental organization at least 24 hours in advance of the rental time and date. Failure to cancel before the 24 hour notice, resulting in costs being incurred by the school district, will be billed to the rental organization.
