School Bus transportation is provided to many Euclid students to and from home on a daily basis. A street guide is available to determine if you are eligible for school bus transportation. School bus transportation is safe transportation primarily because of of well trained, certified drivers who protect our students. The school buses are especially well designed to minimize any injuries in the event of a traffic mishap. Buses sit high and students are between high-back, protective seats.

School bus drivers have a number of requirements to insure your child's safety. These requirements included the following:
- Annual Physical
- Constant Monitoring of BMV records
- Testing for CDL, class B w/ S & P licensing
- 4 to 5 Hours training twice during the year
- Six Year recertification

Student behavior on school buses is important. The following rules are posted in each bus.
- Maintain same conduct as in the classroom
- Be courteous, no use of profane language
- Do not eat or drink on the bus
- Keep bus clean
- Cooperate with the bus driver
- Do not smoke or use your cell phone
- Do not be destructive
- Stay in your seat, keep the aisle clear
- Keep head, hands, and feet inside the bus
- Bus driver is authorized to assign seats
Students face a Danger Zone as they board and exit a School Bus. Parents are encouraged to review the Danger Zone with their children.
Reminders for Drivers
As You Approach a School Bus

- Do Not pass a school bus that has red alternating flashing lights on. This is the signal that the bus is stopped to load or unload students. Traffic is not to resume until the bus resumes motion.
- When a bus has alternating flashing amber lights on, it is preparing to stop to load or unload children. Be ready to stop and watch for children in the roadway.
- If a bus is stopped on a street or road that has fewer than four lanes, all traffic proceeding in either direction must stop,
- If a bus is stopped on a street or road that has four or more lanes, only the traffic proceeding in the same direction as the bus must stop.
- All vehicles should stay back from the bus 10 feet.
- School Buses must stop at railroad crossings. Children are to be quite during this time.
