Middle School Gifted Services
Identified students will be cluster grouped in specific content areas based on standardized test scores from fifth grade. Those students will be served in an honors section with the support of a licensed gifted intervention specialist and the general education staff. Students identified with exceptional math ability, as defined by performance on the Iowa Algebra Aptitude Test given in sixth grade, will be encouraged to enter into an advanced math sequence to include seventh grade algebra and eighth grade geometry (earning two high school credits before entering the high school).
