Distance Learning

ECS are taking advantage of video conferencing with professional organizations and other classrooms from around the world. Teachers collaborate with other teachers across the world sharing many topics including geography, communities and wildlife habitat with their students. Curriculum is enhanced through venues such as museums, science centers and zoos.

Just like instant messengers, you can also use Skype to chat and not just with one other person at a time, but with up to 100 people in a group chat. If it’s a really nice group chat, you can bookmark it and find it later, which is handy for persistent chats with classrooms from around the world.

POLYCOM - Enhanced audio/video for multi-site communication
Polycom is the world-wide leader in audio/video video conferencing equipment. We currently utilize the VSX 7000 series units that enable clear picture and sound to be transmitted from one classroom over the Internet to up to two other classrooms for distance learning experiences.
