ECS - Benchmark District
The Euclid City Schools were identified as a benchmark district for their efficient practices in administrative spending and in maintenance and operations. A recent report published by Ohio Education Matters, a subsidiary of KnowledgeWorks, identified the Euclid Schools as a model district for providing non-instructional services at a reasonable cost.
In the report Euclid was classified as a small major urban district, and was noted as a benchmark district in Maintenance and Operations, Central Office Administration and School-Level Administration.
To earn this designation a district has to have low spending in those areas and meeting quality indicators in that section.
“To be recognized as an example district was validation for our efforts over the years,” Superintendent Joffrey Jones said. “We are continually trying to run an efficient district while providing the quality of education Euclid expects. This recognition really reflects our efficient use of each and every taxpayer dollar. We can assure the community that the efforts the district uses to earn this recognition will continue well into the future.”
