Merat wins first place in Congressional Art Competition

The Eleventh Congressional District Art Competition featured the best and brightest student artistic talent in Northeast Ohio. This year’s grand prize winner is Euclid High School's Charlotte Merat, Visual Communications student. Charlotte and one member of her family will also receive a complimentary trip to Washington, D.C. for the National Art Competition Ceremony. Charlotte’s artwork will be displayed in the Cannon Tunnel of the United States Capitol for one year.

The Savannah College of Art and Design and Tennessee Wesleyan College will offer a scholarship of $3,000 to each Congressional Art Competition winner who enrolls there.

The show will be on display through the month of May at the Cleveland Public Library Memorial Nottingham Branch, Lake Shore Blvd., Cleveland, Ohio.
