On Monday morning, January 9th, city officials met with the district, architect, and civil engineers regarding code requirements for the development of the Forest Park site into the new Early Learning Village, as well as the development of Memorial Park and the DiBiasio Stadium. A spirit of collaboration and cooperation was shared at the meeting with the architect and civil engineer, Lewis Land Professionals, coming away from the meeting with specific assignments and expectations.

The EA Group has completed the asbestos survey at Forest Park and an abatement and demolition package has been prepared by Architectural Vision Group. A meeting will be held Wednesday to determine the acceptability of the package, as the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission co-funds the abatement and demolition of Forest Park. Bricker and Eckler will be in attendance to discuss this and other details of the Forest Park site to ensure complete compliance of State standards and regulations. Bricker and Eckler was selected as the district's legal counsel, specifically for the purpose of the building project.
