#OurEuclid students took the Confucius Institute at Cleveland State University stage once again. On Saturday, December 2,
Euclid High School Chinese teacher, Miss Zenisek took a group of Chinese students to Cleveland State University to perform in the annual Art Performance Competition.
This year, we had eight performers present seven programs, the most out of all other participating schools and organizations! Among Chinese II students, Sam Carlson and Olivia Augustine played the Chinese song, “Secret” on the piano and violin. Ellen Palko danced solo to “Ai Shang Ni” (“In Love With You”) and Chrislynn Brownlee sang the song, “Rang Wo liu zai ni shen bian” (Let me stay by your side).
Our first-year Chinese students were also well represented on the stage. Kobe Patrick performed an ancient Chinese poem, “Jing Ye Si” (Quiet Night Thoughts). Zayda Stormer sang, “Wo Ai wo de Jia” (I Love My Family). Briznni Crusoe sang, “I Have Nothing” and Da’Rion Martin danced to the song, “Famous DJ.” All of #OurEuclid performers were awarded “Outstanding Performance Award” certificates.
After the show, students went on a tour of Asian Plaza in downtown, then had a delicious authentic Chinese lunch at Bo Loong Restaurant, where everyone practiced using chopsticks! We are so proud of the hard work and dedication that these talented students put into this competition. #PantherProud
