Debate Team Honors

This past weekend, the Euclid High School Debate Team wrapped up the 2011 Cleveland Urban Debate League championship with another impressive performance.  The debate team was paced by the team of Hana Mobasseri and Jordan Smith, who knocked off top-seeded Brush en route to a perfect 4-0 record and a 1st place finish.  During the league awards ceremony, Quentin Sims was named the 2011 CUDL Top Debater, edging out debaters from JFK and Brush to take home the top award in the league.  Jordan Smith and Taylor Sowell also finished in the Top 5 in the individual awards.  In the team awards, the duo of Quentin Sims and Romero Harper took 2nd place overall with a 13-3 record on the season.  Also finishing in the Top 5 were the teams of Imani Ferguson and Amanda Wagner as well as A.J. Stovall and Taylor Sowell.
