HALLWAYS

  • No talking in the Silent Zone
  • Safe hands (hands at back or at sides)
  • Single file line or two single file lines, eyes forward
  • Be safe on stairs (step on each step, use handrails and walk quietly)

RESPECTFUL BEHAVIORS

  • Respect yourself and each other
  • You are accountable for your own actions
  • Listen to all adults and follow directions the first time they are given
  • Use good manners and polite words
  • Do not have an attitude with any adult
  • Respect all property (materials and building)
  • Focus on yourself, do not worry about other's business

RESTROOMS

  • Use them correctly
  • Help keep them clean
  • Do not play in them
  • Wash or sanitize hands when finished

CLASSROOM/EDUCATIONAL

  • Complete homework on time
  • Participate in classroom discussions
  • Follow school rules
  • Always speak in complete sentences
  • Do your best-give your best effort

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL

  • All playgrounds are closed
  • Skating part is closed
  • At dismissal if your ride does not come, return to the office so we can contact someone

NOT ALLOWED AT SCHOOL

  • No bikes
  • No skateboards
  • No shoes with wheels in them
  • No sunflower seeds
  • No gum
  • No electronic equipment
  • No cell phones
  • No handheld games (Gameboy, Gameboy DS, DS Lite, etc.)
  • NO MP3 players or IPods
  • No electronic equipment is advised here at school since we have no place to lock it up and keep it safe

OVERALL EXPECTATIONS

  • At the sound of a harmonica or whistle, thumbs go up and silence begins
  • Speak in complete sentences
  • Appropriate language will be used at all times
  • Hands and feet to yourself at all times
  • All lunch money (in an envelope) is to be turned in to the classroom teacher in the morning and sent down to the office with the lunch count

RECESS/PLAYTIME

  • Lunch boxes go along side of the fence by the gate
  • Never leave the area where you are in with your lunch manager
  • do not pick up things on the ground, e.g. wood chips
  • 2 whistles means to line up
  • Feet first when going down the slides
  • No chasing or tag games
  • No football
  • No fighting
  • No pretend fighting
  • No rough playing
  • Be safe-no climbing on railings or on top of equipment

INDOOR RECESS

  • Use inside voices
  • Do the activity that is planned
  • If it is a silent activity, be silent
  • Keep your classroom neat and in order

CAFETERIA

  • Enter and leave the cafeteria silently
  • Use good manners
  • Give your name to Mrs. Hance when you receive food
  • Sit in assigned seat if you have assigned seats
  • Once you are seated, stay seated
  • You must have a Lunch Manager's permission to leave your seat
  • Raise your hand to get a Lunch Manager's attention
  • Use inside voices at all times
  • Eat, don't talk
  • No sharing of food or drink
  • No buying of singe items of food
  • Lunch Managers will hand out silverware and condiments
  • All extra food or drink needs to be thrown away
  • No open food is to leave the cafeteria area
  • Clean up your area when you are done eating
