Educational Resources from Cleveland Clinic

From the Cleveland Clinic

As COVID-19 stay-at-home orders extend across the country keeping school buildings closed, we recognize the increased need for online educational resources and programs. With this in mind, we have updated our resources page with COVID-19-relevent lesson plans and related assets, and we have amplified our spring schedule of connected learning offerings, giving you and your fellow educators opportunities to enroll in free web-based learning sessions that your students and their parents or guardians can then register to participate in from their homes.

Below is information on upcoming connected learning offerings, including dates, times, suggested grade ranges for participants, and enrollment links.

Health Unleashed!™ Nutrition (Grades K–2) is built around the Rex Rules!™ Right Bites storybook and promotes healthy lifestyle choices, literacy, and interdisciplinary exploration for students in grades K–2. The program's interactive lessons and creative resources advance student enrichment within and beyond the classroom by capturing the energy and enthusiasm of Rex himself – a Cleveland Clinic therapy dog whose misunderstandings lead to misadventures (and lots of humor!) before each lesson is done.

Through this interdisciplinary initiative, Cleveland Clinic caregivers from the Center for Functional Medicine will share their expertise on important health issues with students in grades 3 through 5, and the students will then bring their newfound knowledge to life through creative interpretations, such as paintings, poems, sculptures, and stories, to help educate and inspire others.
