Technology pickup, distribution and orientation
#OurEuclid Schools are happy to announce we will be providing 1:1 technology for all of our Kindergarten - 12th grade students. We know technology is a key part of educating our students, and with our students returning to school in a virtual format, technology is even more important.
Our Kindergarten through 5th grade students will be receiving iPads, and our 6th through 12th grade students will be receiving Chromebooks. We will be distributing these devices from August 24 - August 28. The schedule for pickup is below, and can also be viewed by clicking here.
Prior to pickup, we ask parents to please complete Annual Update in Infinite Campus, and pay fees in Infinite Campus, including a $20 technology fee that helps offset repair costs.
Join Superintendent Chris Papouras on a teletown hall forum on Thursday, August 20
Superintendent Chris Papouras will be hosting a teletown hall forum on Thursday, August 20 from 5pm - 6pm to discuss our return to school plans, and field questions from our families and the community. Over the coming days, families will receive a phone call or text inviting them to participate in the call. If you do not get a call, you can still join the call - once again on Thursday, August 20 - to participate in the forum. Call (216) 284-4251 on August 20 at 5pm to listen and participate.
If you are unable to join the call, a recording of the call and information will be placed on our website.
Complete the 2020 Census
Have you completed the 2020 Census? The Federal Government uses results from the US Census to determine how much funding our schools, city, and library receive. Completing the Census is easy and the results are confidential. It should take fewer than ten minutes to complete. The results will help provide funding Euclid needs for critical programs and services. Complete the 2020 Census by clicking here or by calling (844) 330-2020.
Register to vote and request your early ballot
Now is the perfect time to check your registration status or register to vote in the November 3rd election. You can register or update your address by clicking here, or by calling the Board of Elections at (216) 443-3200. The voter registration deadline is October 5th. You can also be sure your vote will count by voting early. Request an early ballot by clicking here or by calling (216) 443-8683.
Bluestone Community Garden
Have you had a chance to check out the Community Garden over at Bluestone? The community is really showing off its green thumb! The garden is filled with sunflowers, tomatoes, cucumbers, basil, blackberries, squash, and peppers.
The pumpkins are really growing! But we ask that they are left undisturbed so that our students can see them if/when we return to the building.
Last Saturday, one of Bluestone’s gardener extraordinaires/volunteers personally delivered cucumbers and tomatoes from the community garden to the Euclid Hunger Center - much to the staff’s delight!
The staff there was happy to get them and shared the vegetables with the clients who came that day.
Shortly before we closed our schools in March, the Bluestone garden was awarded one of NEOEA's 2020 Green School Awards. Bluestone has received this award three out of the last four years! Kudos Bluestone!
