There’s still time to register for the Euclid Virtual Learning Academy!
Earlier this week, we shared our return-to-learning plan with the community. The plan includes a hybrid learning model.
Families of Preschool through eighth-grade students have the option of participating in our Euclid Virtual Learning Academy (EVLA), should you prefer your child(ren) to continue learning at home when school resumes. The EVLA will be staffed with dedicated ECSD teachers, unlike other online options. Families wishing to enroll in EVLA can do so by clicking here.
If you choose the online-only option for your family, we will need for you to sign up each child in your household who you intend to participate in online learning. Families who opt-in to the online option will be asked to use the online learning option at least through October 16. However, the EVLA will be offered through the entire school year as a virtual option to all Euclid families who prefer online learning - even when we return to traditional learning in our buildings. The deadline to sign up for Euclid Virtual Learning Academy is July 31, 12:00pm.
PreK - 8 parents: If you prefer for your child(ren) to participate in the hybrid learning model, you do not need to take any action. In early August, we will mail school assignment letters and other important information to all of our families.

Registration continues for our Euclid Schools!
Registration is open for the ‘20-21 school year. Our schools have so much to offer to our community. Here’s just a few of the benefits of enrolling in our schools:
- The Ohio Department of Education acknowledged Shoreview and Arbor as Schools of Honor for their high progress
- Our schools will be issuing chromebooks or iPads for our K-12 students to assist in their academic growth
- Euclid High School students saved $850,000 in college costs and earned college credits by participating in College Credit Plus program
Now is a great time to enroll in Euclid Schools! Help us spread the word about our district’s benefits by placing a yard sign in your yard highlighting what we have to offer. Click here to request a sign and we’ll personally place it in your yard.
Euclid Board of Education places operating issue on the November 3rd ballot
Over the past few years, our schools have experienced state-recognized growth and progress, and have earned rewards for distinguished fiscal management from the State Auditor. Earlier this week, our school board voted to place an 8.7 mill operating issue on the November 3rd ballot to provide our schools with the funding needed to preserve and build upon our state-recognized progress and growth. The operating issue, if successful in November, will replace a portion of the funds our schools lost with the non-renewal of a levy in 2018. This issue will prevent our schools from being forced to make devastating cuts in our buildings, classrooms, and activities. More details about the levy will be coming in future communications.
We encourage you to learn more about our schools and to make sure you’re registered to vote on the issue this November. The voter registration deadline is Monday, October 5th. Check your registration status by clicking here OR register to vote by clicking here. You can also register to vote in person at the Board of Elections at 2925 Euclid Avenue.
Complete the 2020 Census
Have you completed the 2020 Census? The Federal Government uses results from the US Census to determine how much funding our schools, city, and library receive. Completing the Census is easy and the results are confidential. It should take fewer than ten minutes to complete. The results will help provide funding Euclid needs for critical programs and services. Complete the 2020 Census by clicking here or by calling (844) 330-2020.
