Euclid Schools’ Treasurer, Matthew Brown, announced the School District will now start using Ohio’s Checkbook so the community can have easy access to the School District’s financial information. For three consecutive years, Euclid Schools has earned the State Auditor’s Award with Distinction for Financial Management, and the addition of Ohio Checkbook will allow the District to be even more transparent with its constituency.
The state auditor presents the award to local governments and school districts for the completion of a financial audit that meets the criteria for a “clean” report. The district wants to continue to make positive financial decisions to support the education of its students. Euclid Schools will continue to make an effort to show our community that we are committed to providing clear and concise information about how their tax dollars are spent and to also make the School District’s finances more transparent.
“OhioCheckbook.gov was launched in June 2020. The new transparency website combined OhioCheckbook.com and Ohio’s Interactive Budget to create a single, one-stop resource for taxpayers to learn more about spending at the state and local levels of government.”
Euclid Schools’ Ohio Checkbook account will be available for access on November 2, 2020. The financial data of Euclid Schools will reflect fiscal years 2019, 2020, and 2021 currently through September 2020.
