Beginning Tuesday, March 23, our schools will offer a five-day, in-person instructional option for K-12 students. Our schools will be able to implement social distancing in our classrooms, with students having 6 feet of personal space - when feasible and possible - a recommendation provided by the Centers for Disease Control. In instances where 6 feet of space is not feasible, students will have a minimum of 3 feet of space - a recommendation of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Our earlier schedule had us returning from Spring break on March 22. We are now adding a teacher professional development day to Mon. March 22, to give our teachers and staff an additional day to prepare for student returns.
There will be no change to preschool learning at the Early Learning Village. Preschool learners will continue learning in their Blue & Gold cohorts following their current schedule.
The decision to return to the five-day in-building instruction option required much thought and energy. We understand that most students are accustomed to learning and learn best in the classroom. Our leadership has considered feedback from our families, information from the State of Ohio, and guidance from the healthcare experts. This information, in combination with the availability of vaccines for our staff, guided the decision to return to our buildings in an increased capacity.
If you want your child to remain learning virtually, you do not need to take any action. Additionally, if your child is currently enrolled in hybrid learning, and you want them to transition to the five-day in-person learning, you do not need to take any action. All students regardless of their learning plan/option will be engaged in classroom activities five days weekly when we return from Spring break.

We have produced a series of videos to explain our safety precautions and measures. They are available for viewing by clicking here, or by visiting www.euclidschools.org/COVID19Dashboard.aspx.
Over the past year, our buildings and grounds staff has also implemented multiple layers of safety to prevent the likelihood of COVID-19 spread in our buildings. Some of the safety precautions we have in place include:
Hand cleaning stations
Face covering requirements
Limited student transition and movement in the School
A dedicated health containment room
Thermal temperature cameras
Rigorous & daily classroom cleaning
Improved air ionization units & venting in all schools
