Congratulations to the newly elected and re-elected members of the Euclid School Board! The Board serves as The Euclid Board of Education is made up of five members who serve as the governing board for the Euclid City School District. These members are elected officials and serve on the board for a term of four years. Brief profiles for each of the members are below.
Mrs. Kelly is a graduate of Euclid High School, earned a B.A. degree from Boston University, and also earned a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. She previously served as a board member for the Euclid Public Library Foundation, Board President for Early Childhood Options, the Executive Committee for the Urban League Guild of Greater Cleveland, and the Advisory Council for YWCA of Greater Cleveland; and as a Trustee for the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Mrs. Kelly is married, with a son who attends the Early Learning Village.
Mrs. Sudar was re-elected to the school board for an unexpired two-year seat. She is the current president of the school board. Mrs. Sudar earned an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Lakeland Community College, Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Science and Forestry from SUNY, and a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from Syracuse University. She was first elected to the Board of Education in 2005 and is the proud parent of four EHS grads.
Mrs. Turos currently works as a non-profit Communications Specialist Consultant. Mrs. Turos earned her Bachelor's in Social Work from Youngstown State. Mrs. Turos has experience as a non-profit professional, Euclid Parent, social work, and the Cleveland Neighborhood Leadership Development graduate program. She volunteers with the Citizens for Euclid Schools, Panthers Athletic Boosters, Mobilize the Vote Ohio, and Americans Making Immigrants Safe. She is married with three children, and two of her children attend Euclid High School.
Ms. Wright is a graduate of Shaw High School, earned a B.A in Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, and a Master's degree in Social Work from Cleveland State. In addition to Ms. Wright's B.A and MSW, she has twenty-two years of experience working with children in various capacities. Ms. Wright volunteers with the Parent Action Committee at the ELV, and she is a Classroom and School Volunteer at the ELV. Ms. Wright is the proud parent of a Chardon Hills STEM student.
