While we'll be cheering on the Panthers against our rival Cardinals at Osborne Stadium tonight, some things are BIGGER than football, and tonight we'll all be supporting #JBSStrong. Jack S. is a student at Mentor High School and has been battling an aggressive cancer over the last 18 months. Tonight, we will be joining Mentor in a GOLD OUT to support. The color gold is the international awareness symbol for juvenile cancer. Please make sure to wear your Gold and grab a free Gold T shirt from Euclid Staff when you get to the game! Students around the school were already supporting Jack in his fight earlier today! #JBSStrong #GoPanthers #SomeThingsAreBiggerThanFootball

JV Panthers Win!
We are excited to announce that we have scheduled a football game with the River Rouge High School Panthers from the Detroit area in Michigan. The game will kick off at 6:00 PM in Euclid Community Stadium. Senior Night festivities will begin at 5:40. Thank you, River Rouge, for scheduling the game and allowing our Senior Panthers to have the Senior Night they’ve looked forward to. We’d also like to thank the Euclid Police Department for their unwavering support throughout the season and for ensuring a safe and fun experience for all fans. As always, all gameday rules and expectations will be enforced. For students who plan to attend the game, only those students from Euclid High School and River Rouge High School will be admitted to the game. All students must have and wear their ID throughout the evening. Middle School students will only be admitted with a parent or guardian and must remain with them at all times. #OneEuclid #GoPanthers Christopher Papouras Superintendent Euclid City School District

Football Gameday Senior Night Graphic. Euclid Panthers vs. River Rouge Panthers. 6:00PM Kickoff
We regret to inform you that the Friday night football game between the Euclid Panthers and Solon Comets will not be taking place, as the Solon City School District has chosen to forfeit the game instead of making the journey to Euclid Community Stadium. Our disappointment is rooted in the missed opportunity for student-athletes, band members, cheer squads, and our diverse communities to interact, reinforcing the shared values that unite us as Americans, transcending our differences. We firmly believe such interactions foster a sense of unity and understanding among all involved. It's important to address the concerns that have arisen, particularly in light of the recent media coverage related to Euclid. Weekly, we share our comprehensive plans for the management of events at Euclid Community Stadium with visiting teams, as we did with Solon. We want to emphasize that Euclid Schools are committed to hosting events only when we can ensure our local community's and visiting opponents' safety. Therefore, we find no reason to move Friday night’s game. To provide reassurance, it's important to communicate that the game against Brunswick was moved after careful consideration so a thorough investigation into community concerns could be properly completed. The high school administrators then dedicated time to thoroughly address those concerns, resulting in an enjoyable and memorable Homecoming Dance. We are eager to provide our students with traditional and typical high school experiences. Senior Night, scheduled for this Friday, was intended to be another opportunity to celebrate our school community and our students’ achievements. The Euclid Panthers will travel to Solon on Thursday for the Freshman football game and again on Saturday for the JV game in the spirit of sportsmanship and friendly competition. We are actively attempting to schedule another team for Friday and will explore opportunities to celebrate our Senior football players, band members, and cheerleaders. We hope to overcome these challenges and create an environment where friendly competition and camaraderie can flourish, bringing our communities together in the true spirit of sportsmanship. A graphic featuring a referee and text. "Late in the JV game, a Brunswick coach approached me about a special needs player they have that they wanted to put in the game...the Euclid coach brought his defense together to explain the situation. I had a moment to talk to the player lined up from the young man from Brunswick, he said “I got you sir.” He let #80 “block him.” The next play, #80 went in at runningback for Brunswick. He ran the ball, had a gain of about 30 yards, the entire Euclid defense didn’t “let him score” but they acted in a way that it was not a charity run. The young man was extremely proud. I approached the defender from Euclid as time was running out--I said thanks for doing that. He looked at me and said, “some things are bigger than football sir.” I wish I had this player‘s number, but all the Euclid players deserve props for the way they acted. Character came through. THIS IS WHY I OFFICIATE and why I love it so much." - A referee from the Panthers' JV football game vs. Brunswick.
After extensive deliberation starting Monday evening and culminating today, we regretfully decided to move tomorrow evening’s game to Brunswick High School. Unfortunately, just enough of our students have made us uncomfortable hosting the positive school events that the majority of our students want and deserve. After discussing our different options, we have determined this to be the best course of action to preserve the idea of hosting Friday Night Football in Euclid. Prior to this decision, we discussed the merits of moving the football game to Saturday morning, playing the football game without fans, or even canceling because we do not feel that hosting tomorrow’s game would be a responsible decision. We wish to continue the tradition of Friday Night Football in Euclid for our students who want to enjoy and celebrate the typical high school experience. This week, we continue to focus on working with our administrative team and with the Euclid Police Department to identify students engaged in inappropriate and inexcusable behavior on and off our campus. Students who have been involved in fighting, violence, and other violations of the Student Code of Conduct will be held accountable to the fullest extent allowed by the Code of Conduct and the law. We will hold those responsible who have ruined Homecoming Week for the majority of students who wish for nothing more than a positive, enjoyable, and safe high school experience. We appreciate the Greater Cleveland Conference and our conference partner, Brunswick High School, for agreeing to host this game. We will continue to assess this week's incidents and weigh our options for our final home game.
