We are definitely getting better at getting to school on time in the AM. Please remember Tardies work against our 96% attendance goal for the year. We are planning a whole school reward for this at the end of the year. EVERY MINUTE MATTERS! Please have your child at school and in the front doors by 7:55am so they have time to get up to their class by 8:00am. Thank you for your attention to this. Go PANTHERS! 🐅

Today our BLT met to discuss best practices during TBT's and faculty meetings. Good Listening Active Participation Teamwork and Collaboration Relation Building and Trust These were the norms that the group came up with working together to make our building better each and every day. Always looking to improve! 💪🏼💙💛🐅

PBIS is a HUGE part of our CULTURE at Chardon Hills STEM. Each month the teachers choose a student that represents the 3R's (Responsible, Respect and Ready to Learn). These students receive a "Breakfast of Champions" and a shirt, pencil and certificate. Their names/pictures go up on our PANTHER of the MONTH Wall in the front of the school. Congrats everyone! It was a GREAT MORNING to be a P-A-N-TH-E-R!🐅

We had 19 staff who had PERFECT Attendance for the Month of September. 5 of those have it for the ENTIRE year so far. We randomly selected 4 T-Shirt winners from the Browns STAY in the GAME! #STITG #STIG

The panther bucks winners this past week had special morning recess today! They played soccer, played on the playground and played a multi grade level game of tag. Fun was had all around!

Ticket Winners in Mrs. Kitchen's class had fun on Friday. The cheering and celebrating each other was awesome to hear and see. This is the type of culture we LOVE seeing in the rooms. Awesome job little Panthers!

What a SUCCESSFUL "Walk A Thon!" We raised over $13K for our students and staff. It was a very fun day on Friday. We appreciate everyone who supported us! Here are 3 TOP Panthers in regards to $$ raised. We really appreciate all the staff who helped this day a success. We want to thank Ms. Wiggins especially. THANK YOU ALL!!!

This afternoon's Faculty Meeting was professional development on The Teacher Clarity Playbook. Some of the key points discussed were: Teacher Knowledge High Expectations Success Criteria These teachers had rich dialogue about best practices and where we are going with this new information. Great presentation Mrs. Arezone and Mrs. Stinchomb.

The Kindergarten students have enjoyed the STEM challenges this month.   Students built Chicka Chicka Boom Boom trees that would balance the letters of the alphabet. Students also built structures that they could balance an egg on based on the nursery rhyme Humpty Dumpty. Love seeing all the fun and learning in Mrs. Solema's room. :)

Save Fred: We've been learning about scientific tools, inquiries, and investigations in class. The kids focused on forming hypotheses, then creating a plan or conducting experiments to prove our hypotheses valid or invalid. Today, the kids in Mrs. Redford's class worked in teams to create a plan and attempt to save Fred, a water-loving worm who capsized his boat and needs help getting back into his boat, reunited with his life-preserver. Teams focused on teamwork and building bonds along with effective communication skills to tackle this task together. It was awesome to see the collaboration out of our scholars working together. The conversations were RICH and in DEPTH. We LOVE these STEM activities. This is a PRIME EXAMPLE of why Chardon Hills STEM is different. :) Go PANTHERS!
