Parents,
We are trying to communicate more than ever this year. One of our ways to communicate is PARENT SQUARE.
Your child's teacher(s) will be using this to keep you informed throughout the year.
Our administrative staff will also be using it on all important information and important events coming up.

We would LOVE to see you there. We know one of most impactful components of a successful school is involved parents.
One of the big reasons Chardon Hills has been so successful in the past is the support of the parents.
Partnerships are KEY!
We hope to see you on Monday! :)

In Mrs. Phipp's class is reading Wind in the Willows. Mr. Toad is notorious for buying the greatest, new form of transportation. The students made super new and improved βmotor carsβ that can fly! Perfect Stem activity tying into their literacy unit. Love seeing the kids so into their learning. These activities bring their reading and learning come to life! Great job to Mrs. Fullerman as well.

These young people have the MOST IMPROVED attendance in the first 16 days of school compared to last year.
Attendance (being present and on time) is a MAJOR GOAL for us this year. It is one of 4 goals at Chardon Hills in our ONE PLAN.
We know "IF YOU MISS SCHOOL, YOU MISS OUT!"
These students were entered into a drawing for 2 Browns tickets vs the Cowboys for the entire district and we had the WINNER! He was all smiles!
Have fun at the game and great job to all these PANTHERS! πͺπΌπ

We hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend.
Today is day #13 for grades (1-5) and officially day #1 with the entire class together for kindergarten. :)
Few Reminders:
*Today was the last day of walking the kindergarteners to class. Say your goodbyes at the door from here out.
*Please pull ALL the WAY UP when dropping off in the AM. (We have 3 spots above the cross walk to utilize!) This will help get everyone on/off campus quickly. Everyone matters in making this more efficient.
*Please DO NOT stop and drop off in the crosswalk. That is for those crossing from the parking lot. :)
*As soon as your vehicle comes to a rest along the long sidewalk, please have your child pop out QUICKLY on the passenger side and pull away. This will allow the flow to be continuously moving.
*Have your child ready with all materials ready to pop out as soon as your vehicle comes to a rest. There is a long line/amount of time from Chardon Rd to BE READY! (If you for some reason need more time than normal, pull over to one of the parking spots so that traffic doesn't back up behind you!)
*Please do not park in the handicap parking unless you have a HCP tag in window.
*Please drop off by 7:55am to give your child enough to get to class and be ready to start at 8am.
**Our official start time is 8am and EVERY MINUTE MATTERS! Good routines and habits will help your child be on time. This is a great life skill. :)
Happy Tuesday Panthers! π

Mrs. Jakubisinβs class has worked on two STEM projects so far this year. The first challenge was to create a structure using Dixie cups that could withstand an earthquake and a hurricane ( Mrs. Jakubisin got to test their design).Β Β
The second challenge was to create a bed after listening to the story βThe Princess and the Pea.β Students were given a bag of supplies. They had to choose what to use to make the strongest bed frame that would hold the βprincessβ(3 cubes). If their structure failed, they had to figure out how to make it stronger. Students are learning how to communicate and problem solve. They have come up with some great ideas!
Well done Mrs. J and kids! Enjoy your long weekend!
Go Panthers! ππ

One of the best things about Chardon Hills is the STEM opportunities for our Panthers. Mrs. Fullerman has an Encore class that the kids get each week but she will also PUSH IN to the classes as well.
Mrs. Shreve's class joined Mrs. Fullerman for a stem challenge that involved saving a worm named Fred. Fred's boat tipped over and students had to save him by putting a life persevere on while flipping the boat back over only using paper clips.
Great way to end the week heading into our holiday weekend.
