This week Ms. Cekadaβs class started Topic 4: Use Multiplication to Divide.
The students worked with identifying the structure of fact families and using multiplication to divide. Each student created their own candy corn fact family!
Way to go PANTHERS!

Congratulations to our Teachers, Staff and Kid Connector of the Month.
Thank you to our newest partner for PBIS: Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Madison.
We appreciate their partnership. Our staff were very excited. :)
Everyone have a nice long weekend.
Go PANTHERS! π

Fifth grade students have been studying ecosystems this week specifically organisms in our local ecosystems.
Student traced the flow of energy in ecosystems through examining food chains and food webs.
They dissected owl pellets to find evidence of the organisms found in an owlβs ecosystem and examine predator/prey relationships.
As a culminating activity, we brought in the naturalist and the owl to teach the kids more!!!
The owls names are Nigel and Luna! π¦π¦
Thank you to Mrs. Nelson and the 5th grade teachers for setting this up for the kids. Great learning experience.

In Sklarekβs room in my
CKLA the students are learning about the Inca, Aztec, and Maya civilizations. After their whole class instruction, students paired off into different flexible seating stations in the classroom to start their Ancient Americans Test Review. Outside of the standard curriculum, todayβs lesson focused on giving students choice in their learning process.

In Mrs. Spohn's 1st grade class as part of their Knowledge Domain of Early Asian Civilizations, Second Graders followed the STEM design process to make seals.
These clay seals were used to represent writing in the Indus River Valley over 4,500 years ago.
This was a great assignment for our Panthers!

Please remember Tardies work against our 96% attendance goal for the year.
We are planning a whole school reward for this at the end of the year.
EVERY MINUTE MATTERS!
Please have your child at school and in the front doors by 7:55am so they have time to get up to their class by 8:00am.
Thank you for your attention to this.
