Chardon Hills STEM School

We have our Halloween Parade/Parties coming up soon. Next Thursday is the day. If you have any extra costumes you would like to donate to our school, please send them in this week. We would love to have them as "extras" for those kids that don't have one.

Mrs. Johnson’s girls group made fall trees by rolling strips of paper. This is called quilling. It was a wonderful first meeting! We love creating these opportunities for our young ladies. Thank you Mrs. Johnson for heading this up.

The Kindergarten classes had a blast at the Five Senses Carnival.   Students listened to shaker eggs to determine the hiding object, smelled various food items, watched a 3D video, explored shells and rocks with a magnifying glass, and explored different textured items.   Students tasted sweet, sour, and salty food items at the Popcorn Bar. 🍿

All that and a bag of chips winners!

Talk about be RESPONSIBLE!! Love seeing our Panthers help out in the cafeteria! 💙💪🏼💛

VERY VERY Important parents/guardians. We are getting into "cold season!" We really need all of our Panthers to have coats and eventually hats/gloves, etc. This is very important for the safety of our kids! If a child doesn't have a coat we will keep them in from recess and contact you. Further incidents could result into discipline, etc. Our rule is that we will be outside for atleast a short period of time at 20 degrees over above (wind chill). Kids need fresh air and movement each and every day that it is possible. Thank you for your attention to this.

Thank you to Ms. Cantor and all our parent volunteers for making our BOOK FAIR a success so far. One more day left for our fall book fair! The fair will close tomorrow at the end of the school day. Thank you to everyone who has shopped, you are helping support our school library!

We had more great math PD for our administration and curriculum coaches today! We are working with our new instructional materials and see where we can maximize our instructional practices and time for our kids!

It's National School Lunch week! Thank you to our kitchen staff for all they do! They are a GREAT TEAM! Thru love what they do and our kids love their meals! 🏴‍☠️

Red Ribbon Week coming soon! It'll be a FUN week!

We are experiencing a power outage at most of our schools. We are in contact with the power company to determine the extent and estimated duration of the outage. We will communicate with you as we learn more. We will finish the school day with normal dismissal procedures.

This afternoon we looked at our Culture and Climate in the building and our discipline data. We are going to be starting our PBIS "CHECK IN and CHECK OUT" with some of our Panthers through a mentoring program. This will be a big help/resource for our students.

We had learning walks with central office this AM. They LOVED what they saw. We are always looking to improve our craft. The kids and adults did great. Way to go PANTHERS! 🐆

Reminder: We have our 700 Club Pancake Breakfast tomorrow AM at 7:15am. Students are allowed to bring 1 guest. This is for current 4th and 5th graders only. Invites were sent. We can't wait to see everyone!

The Panther Bucks winners today were able to do a haunted house learn to draw and add their own spooky touches. Keep up the good work Chardon Hills students!!!!
