On Thursday, every building across the Euclid Schools celebrated the annual Fathers Walk. The Fathers Walk is part of a national campaign that encourages fathers, father figures and male role models to walk their children to school, demonstrating the importance of attending school every day and celebrating male support for their students.
At each of the schools, these incredible men proudly accompanied their students, with a fun and heartwarming sense of pride, support and unity.
Each school made plans to ensure the morning was fun, engaging and rewarding for everyone. The schools had breakfasts, activities and presentations about opportunities to get involved for attendees before students headed to class.
Throughout the district, school entrances, cafeterias and hallways were filled with smiles as students proudly spent the morning with the people who encourage them at home and in the community. The event also gave families another opportunity to connect with teachers, administrators and school staff.
Fathers Walk highlights the important role families and positive role models play in helping students succeed. Their presence reminds students that education is a team effort and that they have a strong network supporting them.
The event also complemented Euclid Schools’ “Every Panther, Every Day” attendance campaign by encouraging positive routines and showing students that their school day matters.
Throughout the morning, fathers shared about how important they feel this event is. Many spoke about how special it was to spend a few extra moments with their kids, helping them start their school day. Thanks to all the fathers, family members and friends who participated, and to the staff that helped make this year’s Fathers Walk a huge success.
