Title IX

Euclid Schools does not discriminate on the basis of sex in its programs, activities, or employment.

Nondiscrimination is protected by Title IX, a federal civil rights law. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in federally funded education programs and activities.

Title IX, at 20 U.S.C. 1681(a), provides: “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance[.]”

If you feel that you are the victim of discrimination protected under Title IX, you have the right to file a complaint with one of the District Title IX Coordinators listed below.  This complaint can be made in person, on the phone, or in writing.

The Euclid Board of Education is committed to promptly and equitably resolving student and employee complaints alleging sexual harassment.  The District’s response to allegations of sexual harassment will treat Complainants and Respondents equitably, including providing supportive measures to both parties (as appropriate) and following a formal grievance process before the imposition of any disciplinary sanctions or other actions, other than supportive measures, against the Respondent.

Once you have filed a complaint, the District Title IX Coordinator will launch an investigation into the allegations and necessary supportive measures will be given to both parties until the conclusion of the investigation.
