Aretha Franklin will always be remembered as the “Queen of Soul,” she won 18 Grammys and was the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. But she is less recognized for her impact on the Civil Rights Movement. Franklin toured with Dr. King, doing free concerts to help fundraise and bring awareness to the movement.

"Reflections in Black Museum: African American History on Wheels" stopped by Euclid High School's Booster Club Gymnasium yesterday. This traveling museum highlighted African American inventors and their life-changing inventions, such as the door knob, gas mask and even the Super Soaker.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was one of the most prominent leaders in the Civil Rights Movement. He fought for equality and human rights of all people through peaceful protests, including the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the March on Washington. He remained at the forefront of change for our country through his impactful roles in both the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Voting Rights Act. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in 1968, but his legacy continues.
