After extensive deliberation starting Monday evening and culminating today, we regretfully decided to move tomorrow evening’s game to Brunswick High School. Unfortunately, just enough of our students have made us uncomfortable hosting the positive school events that the majority of our students want and deserve.
After discussing our different options, we have determined this to be the best course of action to preserve the idea of hosting Friday Night Football in Euclid. Prior to this decision, we discussed the merits of moving the football game to Saturday morning, playing the football game without fans, or even canceling because we do not feel that hosting tomorrow’s game would be a responsible decision.
We wish to continue the tradition of Friday Night Football in Euclid for our students who want to enjoy and celebrate the typical high school experience. This week, we continue to focus on working with our administrative team and with the Euclid Police Department to identify students engaged in inappropriate and inexcusable behavior on and off our campus. Students who have been involved in fighting, violence, and other violations of the Student Code of Conduct will be held accountable to the fullest extent allowed by the Code of Conduct and the law. We will hold those responsible who have ruined Homecoming Week for the majority of students who wish for nothing more than a positive, enjoyable, and safe high school experience.
We appreciate the Greater Cleveland Conference and our conference partner, Brunswick High School, for agreeing to host this game.
We will continue to assess this week's incidents and weigh our options for our final home game.

Be sure to check out the Euclid STEAM Fest 2023 this Saturday at the the Shore Cultural Centre. There will be hands-on STEAM activities for children of all ages, and featuring shows presented by the Great Lakes Science Center. You will not want to miss it! #ONEEUCLID
We have been informed that Euclid Police Department has responded to a report that a Shoreview student was shot in the arm while on their way home from school this afternoon. A stray bullet struck the child. The student was not a target but an innocent bystander. The child was taken to the hospital and is being treated there.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the child and their family.
At this time, we are not aware of any threats made to the school. Euclid Police are investigating the situation.
If you feel your child needs to speak with someone about this, Shoreview Elementary will have trained support staff available through the remainder of the week to support students.

We’ve received some questions regarding issues with the First Student FIrstView App that helps families keep track of their buses. FirstView App Support has also been receiving questions regarding issues. To remedy the issues that some Euclid Families have been experiencing, there is a new District Code that parents need to use.

We expect the new district code to help fix the issues our families have been experiencing with FirstView. We’ll continue to work with First Student to address any transportation issues.

We have recently become aware of a social media post shared this morning regarding our marching band. The district has been fortunate to have allocated roughly $50,000.00 to the band for equipment in the last three years. The Euclid Schools Foundation donated the funds through grants for new percussion equipment and brass instruments. Our students in the band have what they need to continue their success experienced during the last several years. The band is fortunate to have traveled to and hosted many competitions over the previous two years. If you were to enter the high school's main entrance, the trophies and awards welcome any visitor to our high school.
The district will continue to support the music and arts departments just as we support all of our student programs. Our goal is to ensure equal opportunities for all students in the district to explore their interests and determine their paths and interests. We understand that a student will get out of the programs what they put into them. The band has accomplished incredible achievements through hard work and persistence, made possible by the opportunities and resources the Board of Education is pleased to provide.
